I had watched very little anime in the past, and maybe a serie or two, but even with much to compare it to I say with full confidence that Revolutionary Girl Utena is a masterpiece. From the gorgeous art to the wonderful music to the plot full of symbolism that manages to be relevant to this day, Utena is an experience I cannot reccommend enough.

Favorite episodes

Episode 15: "The Landscape Framed by Kozue", episode 18: "Mitsuru's impatience", Episode 22: "Nemuro Memorial Hall", episode 23: "The Terms of a Duelist". Likely to change as I rewatch it!
